My name is Jayda Dolinger. I am a senior this year at SLVHS, and this is my first time taking ceramics. I took art my freshman year online, so it is very exciting to be able to have access to such amazing resources, and equipment to make art with. I really enjoy the hands-on aspect of ceramics, and feeling that I can create interesting pieces by molding and working the clay through my hands. I used to take art classes as a kid, and there are many people in my family who are very artistically gifted, so I have been around art my whole life. I have never been a very talented drawer or painter, and so I like that I can make art where those skills are not the complete focus of what I am doing.
